biorhythm
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
You are bacteria, lost in the human bloodstream. Explore, fight, and uncover the mystery of your new home to the beat of the heart.
In biorhythm, you play as bacteria lost in the human body. As the heart beats, everything in the body moves to the rhythm. You'll swim through the bloodstream to the beat, exploring, fighting other microbes, and duplicating yourself as you go.
As the progression of your lifecycle weakens the body, you'll face terrifying challenges; hungering white blood cells, intense fever, and, in the end, the other copies of yourself.
The game runs 2.5 - 3 hours. It features hand-painted art, an orchestral score, and a thrilling story. Downloads thru Itch are DRM free.
- Grow a swarm of bacteria and explore the human body at a microscopic scale.
- Encounter strange microbes & fearsome white blood cells.
- Live as an outsider in a vast, incomprehensible system.
The OST is available for free download!

I was so invoveld in the game, it has everything, battles, chasing, and story. And it never gets boring! But in the act 5, it stopped :( It just shows a black screen saying "loading...", but it never does! :( I am going to install it again and hope that it works! Does somebody had an similar experience?
this is one of the best game, ive played so far on itch.io
I really like the game! The story was really interesting since it shows the viewpoint of a small bacteria and how they see our body. Even something we considered normal like a fever was seen as something great and terrible, which I think was a very nice touch!
The art is fantastic as well, and the whole game comes together very nicely thanks to that. The music and sound effects also tie everything together, like when the Hunters attack.
I think the team did a wonderful job together in bringing across the whole experience! Kudos to everyone!
Hey, thank you very much for your kind words! I'm glad you liked the game. Especially appreciate your comments about the sense of scale, that was super important to us as we made it!
No problem! You guys did great!
nice game!
Thanks :)
